Youth Workshop & Family Lecture Series

Join us for a FOTO Conference where students and parents alike can learn about the art of photography, hear from expert photographers, and consider potential careers in photography. Read on for further details and be sure to register to secure your spot at THEARC on November 21st!

FREE CAMERAS: Each of the 30 Youth Workshop participants will receive a 5 megapixel digital camera. Five additional cameras will be raffled for free during the Family Lecture Series.

Youth Workshop - Ages 12 & Up
THEARC Recital Hall
Come learn the basics of photography, and how you can use photography to tell stories about your life and community. Outdoor instruction and exploration will be included, weather permitting. **Each participant will receive 5 megapixel digital camera.**

1:00pm - 2:00pm
Reception with refreshments, food, and a chance to mingle with expert photographers.

Expert photographers Irene Owsley and Paul Fetters, Co-Presidents of the American Society of Media Photographers - DC Chapter, will present their work, giving an insider's view of the photography being produced today. Students and parents will have an opportunity to ask questions about the life of a photographer, the various types of photography, and potential career opportunities. **Free raffle for Family Lecture Series participants to win one of five digital cameras that are 5 megapixels each.**
